What is colostrum?

Colostrum is the pre-milk fluid produced by the mammary glands of all mammals around the time of birthing. The purpose of colostrum is to ensure the health, strength, and vitality of the newborn. Colostrum works for children and adults as well as for the newborn.  Colostrum for human use is harvested from dairy cows. The calves are provided with an adequate amount of the colostrum for their needs before the surplus is harvested for human use. Colostrum contains immune support factors and anti-inflammatory factors.
